In brief
Starting from a 1980s joke about computers, the author lists the trends he expects to define the change: collapse of coal into a balancing role, batteries replacing gas peakers, capital leaving oil, hydrogen, the Biden effect. For Bulgaria he lists what has not been done (alternative gas supply, Chiren storage, rooftop solar, geothermal, offshore wind, EVs) and what grows despite the state.
